Fashion Scoop: Milly for Banana Republic

May 31, 2013

New designer collaboration at Banana Republic with Milly. Love the lively colors for summer and I really like those elephant print shorts but they're sold out online. Looks like I might have to start stalking some Banana Republic stores in the Tri-state area this weekend.

Graduation: Gift Guide

May 29, 2013

I can't believe its been a year since I've graduated college. I remember how excited I was and ready to enter the so called "real world". To be honest with you I thought I would have accomplished a lot more by now, but that's one of the major lessons I've learned about the "real world" not everything goes according to plan. But anyways, I know I'll get everything I want eventually no complaining here, just a tad bit impatient maybe more than a tad bit impatient. I never thought a quarter-life-crisis was possible but let me tell you it is real. Its that awkward stage in your 20's where you can't help but wonder: What I am I going to do with my life? Is this it? When do I get my big break? Why can't I have my dream job and corner office already? Will I ever get married? I thought I'd be settled by now.Well, lets be positive at least I got school out of the way now I just gotta work on making my dreams happen faster and right.
Any of you feeling like this or am I the crazy one?

Wish I Were Wearing: Bridal Shower Edition

May 23, 2013

My future sister-in-law's bridal shower is coming up soon (can't say when she might be reading this) and I need a dress like yesterday. I've been looking for one for weeks now and of course all the ones I like are white, yup because I'm stubborn that way. So, apparently you can't wear white to the shower unless your the bride and blah blah, but I honestly thought this only applied to the wedding.  Now, I gotta find a dress ASAP. I'm really liking the Milly Floral dress and the Taylor Polka Dot one but I would need these to be delivered way to fast. So I may have to stop by Forever 21 soon and get the Blue Georgette Shift dress; its simple and I love the color. But I also have a very similar one to the Fire Bow Back one from Forever 21 as well. Hmmm, decisions decisions.

Audrey in Rome

May 21, 2013

Audrey in Rome is a gorgeous book filled with candid images of Audrey Hepburn, while living in Rome composed by her son Luca Dotti. I can't wait to get my hands on this baby. She was freaking fabulous even when she wasn't trying to be, just walking her dog (named Famous and one of the reasons why I got a Yorkie myself) or grocery shopping.

Splurge or Save: Metallic Low Wedges

May 20, 2013

Save: Forever 21 Open-Toe Demi Wedge Sandals

I don't know about you but I'm kinda loving the Forever 21 version and not just because I'll save over $100 dollars but because I like just the hint of metallic. But I can't lie the J.Crew one's are cute too if you're not afraid to be too trendy.

What's in Your Bag? No, Literally.

May 17, 2013

What's in your bag? If your into the lucite, jelly, perspex, clear etc. handbag trend no need to answer this question, just hold your bag up. I must say I don't want everyone knowing what's in my bag because well its my business but these bags are so cute. I wouldn't mind a little lucite clutch like the Juicy Couture one or the studded New Look one. Anywho, I just thought I'd share these cuties with you guys, I think their adorable for summer.

Splurge or Save: Rockstud Ballerina Flats

May 7, 2013

Save: Forever 21 $24.80

I keep seeing this babies knocked off everywhere I go. I'm not a fan of pointy flats but they're growing on me. Definitely really contemplating getting the beige/soft pink Forever 21 version because lets be honest if I'm not a big fan of pointy shoes why spend almost $700 dollars on them. Even though the Valentino ones are adorable in patent leather it just wouldn't feel right to wear simple flats that are so expensive. That's just my logic, hey if you got the money and want them by all means go ahead and purchase those babies.

A Little Inspiration . . .

May 6, 2013

Next time you find yourself complaining about your life or about how you wish your life was, think about that little quote above. "We are what we repeatedly do". If you waste your time complaining or feeling sorry about yourself that's all your going to be doing because you're not thinking about ways to change it. Nobody can solve any problem for you, you have to do it yourself. Yes, sometimes life sucks and we go through sucky (I know that's not a word but I just made it one) situations but you know what you deal with it move on and think about how much better life will be afterwards. I definitely have fallen victim to being a debbie downer but I catch myself and just try to think of the positive even though that is hard to do sometimes.

On My Nook: Wait For You by Jennifer L. Armentrout

May 3, 2013

Read this a while ago but I had to share because its such a sweet, charming, entertaining, sexy read.

I was really surprised how much I really enjoyed this book. I didn't think it was going to sweep me off my feet like it did. First of all let me say I will never look at cookies, milk, and chinese food the same way again, thanks to the gorgeous and sweet Cameron Hamiltion a.k.a Cam.

Avery Morgansten is finally free to live her life thousands of miles away at college. After one tragic Halloween party five years ago that still haunts her until this day she has never been the same. Neither have her friends of parents. She's holding this big secret that has her feeling like she can't breathe and live the life of a normal college girl.

But then she meets Cam, well she doesn't really meet him more like plows right into him on her first day of college knocking over all her books and his. Just what she wanted to slam and trip right into the hottest most charming guy at her college when all she wanted was to remain invisible. When she finally pulls away from Cam and gets her books together, they realize they have the same astronomy class. Let me backtrack for a bit, the reason Avery was in such a rush and slammed into Cam is because she hates to be late. Yup, she's really that anal and paranoid to be around people. And to avoid walking late into a class were everyone's eyes will be on you, she blots. Yup, she literally blots from Cam's side and leaves him hanging with an open classroom door. Avery has never had a boyfriend or really any friends after that Halloween party, so she has no idea how to interact with guys or people in general, which is why she always runs away from her problems.

Turns out not only is Cam her Astronomy partner but also her next door neighbor. For months Cam is sweet to Avery being her friend and constantly asking her out. Avery takes the asking out part as joke because she doesn't really think he would be interested in her. Eventually, she gives in they have one of the most charming relationships I've ever read about. That is until Avery's secret threatens their relationship and she starts to get threatening emails, voicemails, and calls from a horrible part of her past. And what does Avery do you ask when this unbelievably-hot-gorgeous-sweet-charming-steamy-most-perfect-boyfriend-ever asks her about her past? She runs away. But there's something about Cam that has her rethinking her decision.

If you want to read a sweet love story that will have your heart warming up, well this is it. I think I've said sweet in this review about ten times already, that's how just shows how freaking sweet this story is !

Classics with a Contemporary Twist

May 2, 2013

Sometimes when the weather is nice I walk up the east side to look at all the gorgeous window displays to get inspired and the Jonathan Adler stores is one of them. If any of you love his fresh contemporary designs now you have a chance to own a couple of his pieces without breaking bank over at JCPenney's.
